Member Bailey Miller invited to ride the Odd Fellows & Rebekahs Rose Bowl Parade float

On a rainy yet electrifying January 1, 2026, Bailey Miller proudly represented Iowa as she rode on the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs float in the 137th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs have maintained an unbroken tradition of float participation since 1955, with their first appearance dating all the way back to 1908—making it one of the longest-running fraternal entries in parade history.

Bailey received the invitation from Past Grand Master of Iowa, Jami Rafter, after delivering a well-received presentation on the Pilgrimage for Youth, the international leadership program she attended in July 2025.

To support her and take part in the experience, her family—Mom, Dad, sister and family dogs—made a two-week Christmas journey to California, where they joined the volunteer build crew and helped assemble sections of the float before parade day.

Bailey is senior at Cedar Falls High School and a proud member of Odd Fellows Cedar Valley Lodge No. 233 and Rebekah Happy Thought Lodge No. 256. Her participation in the Rose Parade marks a significant milestone for both lodges and for the Iowa jurisdiction.
